According to the standard, a tent is considered waterproof from a water column of 1,500 mm. A distinction is made between the water column of the tent wall and the tent floor.

What helps against heat in a tent?

To keep your tent cool, you should make sure that your tent is in the shade during the midday sun. Good air circulation is essential when camping in summer - it's best to have windows or doors opposite each other. Our tents with darkened sleeping cabins also help to keep the tent cool. How do I store the tent correctly?

How often you waterproof your tent depends on how often you use it and where you pitch it. However, we recommend waterproofing your tent at least every three months or before storing it. The vestibule is a kind of anteroom outside the main tent. This area is covered, but usually not completely enclosed. How do I avoid condensation in the tent?

To avoid condensation in the tent, check in advance whether the ground is dry - otherwise moisture can form in the tent. Good ventilation is also very important. Never put the tent in the washing machine or tumble dryer! Detergents, softeners and heat attack the coating of the tent fabric and encourage mould. Spinning also puts a lot of strain on the material, while zips can damage the delicate tent fabric. This results in tears or loose seams that make the tent leaky.

How big should the tent be?

In addition to the living space that is shared, you should also pay attention to the cabins. The number of sleeping cabins and their location play a role here. Sleeping cabins separated by the living area or cabins with a flexible partition wall provide more privacy. As luggage also needs to be stored, you should also take this into account when choosing a camping tent. Skandika Sleeper Technology

Bei diesem Zelt wurde eine spezielle Beschichtung auf dem Außenzelt im Bereich der Schlafkabine aufgetragen, welche fast 100 % des Sonnenlichtes absorbiert. Länger ausschlafen, die Kinder früher ins Bett bringen oder mittags ein Nickerchen machen? Alles möglich!

Flexible Schlafkabine

Für mehr Flexibilität kann die Kabinentür oben mit Moskitonetz offengelassen werden, so dass frische Luft zirkulieren kann, während Insekten draußen bleiben. Die Kabine kann durch eine aufrollbare Trennwand nach Bedarf unterteilt werden.

Fest eingenähter Zeltboden

Beim Egersund 5 Sleeper Protect ist der Zeltboden fest eingenäht. Er sorgt für einen Rundumschutz gegen schlechtes Wetter, Zugluft und aufsteigende Feuchtigkeit. Außerdem hält er unangenehme Krabbeltiere fern.

Absolut wetterfest

Die robusten Fiberglasstangen sorgen für einen sicheren Stand selbst bei starkem Wind und die hohe Wassersäule des PU-beschichteten Materials des Außenzeltes von 5.000 mm und die sorgfältig versiegelten Nähte bieten Sicherheit und Komfort, auch bei Sturm und starkem Regen.

Zwei Eingänge

Der vordere Eingang hat ein cleveres Vordach und mit den zwei Aufstellstangen lässt sich der Seiteneingang als schattenspendendes Sonnendach nutzen. Ob am vorderen oder am seitlichen Eingang – da wo die Sonne gerade scheint, lässt sich im Nu ein schattiges Plätzchen zaubern.

Clevere Fenster

Insgesamt drei Fenster sorgen für viel Licht und sind alle mit Abdunkelungen für eine geschützte Privatsphäre versehen. Das große Seitenfenster besteht im oberen Bereich aus Moskitonetz und ermöglicht selbst bei geschlossenen Türen eine gute Luftzirkulation im Zeltinneren.
